Festivities generally begin at 6pm and last until 11pm on First Fridays and until 9pm on Third Fridays. Bars and restaurants are open later. Please check individual galleries and businesses for specific hours.

CHECK OUT the Row in The New York Times!
"Today, the once-neglected and dangerous Roosevelt Row is the city’s cutting-edge art destination." - New York Times, January 31, 2010

*IMPORTANT PHOESTIVAL NOTICES*

PARKING - Do Not Park on Dirt Lots in Phoenix
Anyone who parks on a vacant dirt lot in Phoenix is subject to a parking citation of $135. The Environmental Protection Agency has issued regulations that require dust-proofing of any parking area. This means a parking area must be paved in order to be used. Signs or barricades are not required from property owners to warn people who may park on their property. The City of Phoenix Police Department is enforcing this regulation during First Fridays as well as during regular weekday business hours and has been issuing parking tickets to any vehicle on non-dust proofed dirt lots. The ticket carries a $135 fine.

FESTIVAL MOVE - In order to enhance the safety of the Phoestival in Roosevelt Row, the event will be moved north onto East Roosevelt Street beginning on First Friday, November 6, 2009. The decision to move the event was informed by careful consideration and input from numerous stakeholders and participants as well city of Phoenix departments including Streets, Transit and Police. The closure will occur between Central Avenue and Seventh Street, building a stronger connection for the event with the Arts District Light Station. The new location will reduce the number of intersections where pedestrians will cross existing traffic and increase available on-street parking for our vendors and for people attending the event.

September's Roosevelt Row Street Festival hosted the Red Bull Manny Mania competition in conjunction with the 2009 Deck Show held at Pravus Gallery. Check out the video below.

Outside on Roosevelt street "more than 5,000 fans packed downtown...to get a glimpse of Red Bull Manny Mania, the amateur skateboarding competition based on 'the manual', a skateboarding trick similar to a wheelie. Thirty locals tried their hand, with Ryan Lay coming out on top." (Red Bull Website) Step inside the neighboring galleries and you find artist designed skate decks in the annual Deck Show held at Pravus Gallery.
