PHOESTIVAL TIMES: CHECK-IN & SET UP
Phoestival is one of the most popular destinations during Artlink's First Friday artwalk. Roosevelt Street from Central Avenue to 7th Street is closed to vehicular traffic from 4PM to Midnight, every Phoestival and every month. Roosevelt at the intersections of 3rd and 4th Streets remains open to north-south vehicular traffic until 6PM. Vendors must CHECK IN 3PM-6PM at the NORTHERN HALF of the Phoenix Center for the Arts PARKING LOT at 1202 N 3rd St. Turn into the parking from 3rd Street, it is immediately west of 3rd Street in Margaret T. Hance Deck Park on the I-10 tunnel. Set
up on Roosevelt between 4PM & 6PM.
EVERYONE MUST DISMANTLE AT 11PM & CLEAR ROOSEVELT BY MIDNIGHT
All vendors must provide their own duct tape and tape over ALL loose cords on the ground. All cords and cables running between generators or battery packs and lighting must be taped onto the ground inside and around your booth. All cords or cables running across the sidewalks behind your booth must be taped onto the ground. No propane/butane powered devices or candles allowed.
For 2010...
To allow us time to update the map of vendor placements and get organized, all vendors who have not paid for their space by 5pm on the Friday immediately before Phoestival will be handled as SAME DAY REGISTRATION. "SAME DAY" vendors will be assigned space during Check In on Roosevelt in a designated "SAME DAY" area on a first come, first served basis and will not be allowed to use gas powered generators. No more reservations for vendors will be made between 5pm of the Friday before First Friday and the day of the event. Friday, December 25th, Christmas Day, is the DEADLINE for all vendors hoping to beat SAME DAY REGISTRATION for First Friday on January 1st, New Year's Day. We love a holiday. Make your reservations early for the New Year.

TIPS
FROM VENDORS FOR VENDORS
1) Be prepared for the weather. Wind/rain may occur especially
in July, August, December,
January.
2) Be sure to provide your contact info to people coming by your booth. Many sales and referrals occur after the event.
3) Join the Phoestival Vendors in Downtown Phoenix facebook group!
4) Double check that your battery powered lighting and rechargeable electric generators are fully charged before Phoestival. Using low voltage lighting, CFL bulbs or LED options increase the longevity of your light after dark and use less energy so that more vendors may share energy and consolidate resources.
5) When setting up your lighting, engage a single light at a time and continue to engage one at a time gradually. Rather then hooking them up and turning on your generator or battery-inverter all at once, plugging in your lights one at a time draws far less initial energy and greatly increases the longevity and quality of your lighting throughout the evening.
